Meet The Team
Kristina became CEO of County Fabricators in 2013. She spearheaded an extensive marketing effort that resulted in a relationship with Tappan Zee Constructors building the New Tappan Zee Bridge. Since Kristina’s appointment, County Fabricators’ customer base has been expanded to include giants such as Kiewit Weeks Massman, Skanska, CW Brown, Tangram, Tutor Perini and many more. Kristina initiated the effort to improve quality control and production standards to be consistent with AISC guidelines resulting in AISC certification in Simple Bridge, Bridge Components and Building Structures. She is an AWS D1.5 certified welder. When not at the shop, Kristina can usually be found watching the NY Yankees and the Villanova Men’s Basketball team. She lives in Westchester County and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University. Go Wildcats!
Philip Benza is a founding member and Chief Marketing Officer at County Fabricators. He brings many years of experience in marketing, civil construction and general management to the table. Prior to County Fabricators he was a marketing and sales executive at Xerox Corporation. Phil is responsible for implementing strategic initiatives and solutions at County Fabricators. His focus is on building long term relationships with customers. He is a collaborative team leader that puts the needs of the customer at the forefront of the company. He is on the Board of Directors of the Construction Industry Council and is a graduate of Fordham University. Phil enjoys golf and tennis and spending time with his family.
Michael R. Husband
Michael Husband is Vice President in charge of pre-fabrication operations. He is highly respected and has many years of experience in the steel fabrication and construction industries. He has been with County Fabricators since the beginning. Mike’s responsibilities include chief estimator and manager of pre- fabrication operations. Mike lives in Tarrytown with his wife and 3 children. He volunteers for the Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corp and the Tarrytown Volunteer Fire Department. Mike is a graduate of Iona College.
Amanda DeCesare, P.E.
Amanda joined County Fabricators in 2016. She brings with her 15+ years of civil design and project management experience as a Professional Engineer certified by New York State. Amanda is the Director of Fabrication Services; her responsibilities begin with estimating and follow through from award to delivery of all County Fabricators’ projects. Projects that have been under Amanda’s supervision since joining County Fabricators include the Internal and External Accesses for the New Tappan Zee Bridge, a multitude of temporary works for the Rehabilitation of LaGuardia Airport, and the Emergency Steel Repairs at the Park Avenue Viaduct for MNR. Amanda graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and resides in Westchester County with her husband and two children.
Alex De La Cruz
Alex is a skillful fabricator with hands on experience in steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication. He is a certified AWS D1.5 welder and over the past few years has been instrumental in helping to grow and build the fabrication operations at County Fabricators. Alex’s contributions include sourcing new hires, training, acquiring new fabrication equipment, and managing of production. Alex was also extremely crucial to the success of County Fabricators AISC Certification process. Alex resides in Westchester County, NY and can be found blowing or travelling as a doting father with his daughter’s gymnastics team.
Junior arrived at County Fabricators as a welder/fabricator with a background in miscellaneous metals fabrication and has consistently worked his way through the ranks, and is now an AWS D1.5 certified welder. Since becoming Shop Foreman, Junior’s attention to detail and leadership skills have been instrumental, specifically in the completion of three large, permanent works projects on the New NY Bridge. Junior’s contributions to the administrative process of shop management has fostered efficiency and helped to greatly decrease the number of fabrication errors. In his spare time, Junior enjoys exploring the New York area with his wife and two young children.
Jerry O'Brien brings almost 20 years of customer service and sales experience to the position of Account Manager. Previously a leader for such top companies as Disney, Fairmont and Jumeirah, Jerry is dedicated to the highest level of service to our clients. He is grateful to work with such a great team here at County Fabricators, and lives by their motto "When our customer says jump, County Fabricators asks how high". Originally from Long Island, Jerry now lives in Eastchester, NY with his wife, Robyn. An avid sports fan and trivia/competition enthusiast, Jerry has been a contestant on multiple national TV game shows.
Prior to joining County Fabricators in late 2016 Kevin spent 6 years with a leading construction supply firm. During that time, he carried many responsibilities, including project management, quality assurance and product design. He brings this experience, along with a degree in construction management and a strong work ethic, to the team at County Fabricators. He is currently working with the estimating and project management team where he assists in putting together competitive proposals and in facilitating project delivery.
Laura joined County Fabricators in 2015 providing administrative support to the team working directly with our Management and Accounting departments.Laura has grown her position to include management and oversight of all daily administrative activities. At her workstation in the front office, Laura brings a great positivity and light to the entire office. As a certified Notary Public, she also provides legal assistance in her position. Her interests in the industry developed after a brief Marketing internship at a civil engineering firm in White Plains. In addition to her daily duties at County Fabricators, Laura enjoys attending car shows, trying new restaurants and participating in local 5K events to support the community.
